Summer School
of the
DFG Research Unit FOR 1254
Magnetic Fields: From Star-forming Regions to Galaxy Clusters and Beyond
July 18 to 22, 2011 at Ringberg Castle (Tegernsee)
The annual meeting 2011 of the DFG Research Unit 1254
Magnetisation of Interstellar and Intergalactic Media
took place at Ringberg Castle (Tegernsee). This summer school gives an overview over this vivid field of research and provides an excellent opportunity to present and discuss the most recent developments. A wide spectrum of pertinent topics is presented by lecturers, followed by intensive discussions. The students have the opportunity to raise main questions which are to be discussed in the plenum or in smaller groups.
Ringberg Castle is a conference center of the Max Planck Society. It is famous for its inspiring atmosphere, its superb food and its beautiful location at the foot of the Bavarian Alps, above Lake Tegernsee.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Ringberg.
