European Single Dish School in the Era of Arrays

The first European Single Dish School in the Era of Arrays will take place from September 27 to October 1, 2010 at the Max-Planck-Institut für Radio Astronomie (MPIfR) in Bonn and Effelsberg.

This school will provide information on the theoretical background as well as on practical matters of radio astronomical observations with a single-dish telescope. A visit to the 100-m telescope in Effelsberg with observations is also included. The school is dedicated mainly to graduated students and PostDocs in astronomy. 

The number of participants is limited to 50 and therefore we recommend an early registration.

The conference fee will be 150,- € per person, covering the coffee breaks and lunches including a bar-b-que at Effelsberg from Monday to Friday, the conference dinner, and the transportation to Effelsberg. Participants who register for lodging through the school website will receive a voucher for free public transportation within Bonn for the length of their stay.Please pay the conference fee in advance to the bank account listed below before August 20, 2010.
