Summary
Observations with the Very Large Telescope Interferometer of the European Southern Observatory allowed the first spectro-interferometric studies of the enigmatic Luminous Blue Variable η Carinae with high spectral resolution [1]. The aim of this work was to study the opaque stellar wind of η Carinae with a high angular resolution of 5 milli-arcseconds.
