NGC1097

The galaxy NGC 1097 belongs to the Hubble class SB(s)b. Its disk is inclined by 45° with respect to the sky plane. This galaxy has a distance median value of 17 Mpc. It hosts a huge bar that is bright in total and polarized radio emission. The central source is surrounded by a bright radio ring.
