Note on the MPIfR restructuring
Please note that, as part of the MPIfR's restructuring, the former VLBI Technology department was dissolved on 1 September 2026. A new department for Correlator Operations has been created, which is also responsible for Geodetic Correlation, as listed above. This department is now defined as an institute-wide facility, in the same way as the Effelsberg Operations and APEX Operations departments. The former technical development work of these departments has been transferred to the newly created Technology Development Department. The EU administrative staff have been reassigned to the Research Coordination department. Please refer to the institute's organisational chart for details of the new distribution of duties.
