Reconciliation of Family and Working-Life

The Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy offers childcare for toddlers and has five places for children under the age of three in a day care center close by. These spaces are kept free for reservations made at short notice.

Furthermore, there is a parent-child room in the institute with toys, a changing table, a daybed and children’s books. In case of an emergency, parents can take their small children with them to work and take care of them there.

For the emergency care of children or other relatives requiring care, the service of PME Family Service is available to the employees. The costs of mediation are covered by the MPG. The costs of care must be covered independently.
