Project Summary:
Within my PhD research, I focus on active galactic nuclei (AGN) jets, which are powerful, collimated outflows launched from the central regions of galaxies hosting supermassive black holes. I investigate the physical mechanisms responsible for launching, accelerating, and collimating these relativistic jets, with particular emphasis on the role of magnetic fields, the ambient medium, and high-energy emission, particularly γ-rays.
Understanding how AGN jets form and evolve is essential for explaining how supermassive black holes interact with their host galaxies and influence their large-scale environments. My work further explores the connection between γ-ray activity and jet morphology, aiming to better understand how high-energy variability is linked to structural changes and physical processes within relativistic jets.
