Welcome to the official SABOCA website

SABOCA ( Submillimeter APEX Bolometer Camera)
is a multi-beam bolometric receiver developed by
the Max-Planck-Institut für Radioastronomie (MPIfR) of Bonn

SABOCA is a superconducting (TES) bolometer camera
installed on the APEX telescope
for operation in the 350 micron atmospheric window

Science with SABOCA... (under construction)

SABOCA 350 μm map of NGC6334 observed on 14th May 2008 in OTF mode. The total observing time for this large scale map, including observations of secondary calibrators, is only of 1h 40min. Map units are Jy/beam.
