New Receiver at 1.9 cm for the Primefocus
16.01.01/jn

A new receiver at 1.9 cm wavelength is available for the primefocus. It is an one channel total power system specially designed for line observations. The sky frequency range  from 13.45 GHz to 18.5 GHz. The system temperature is about 40-50 K.

The system delivers the smallband IF(at 150 MHz) and the broadband IF(at 750 MHz). So it can be used in connection with the old (1024 channel) correlator as with the (8192 channel) AK-90 correlator. The AK-90 correlator can use both IFs, the 1024-AK only the smallband IF.

As the system is splitted in different frequency ranges and in small-/broadband, the frequency input in OBSe must be done with the FRQRX comand.

FRQRX    alone   prints out Help

FRQRX    < freq >    [ < fixed > [ < smallband >]]

< freq >:                        Frequency in GHz
< fixed >:                       use  F(ixed) for  fixed frquency,  otherwise  corrected frequency
< smallband>:              smallband version  (IF at 150 MHz)

Examples:

FRQRX    16                      !  Broadband with AK-90 or continuum
FRQRX    18   o   S            !  Smallband  AK-90 or  AK-1024 or continuum
FRQRX    17.5    f              !  Broadband with AK-90 or continuum with fixed frequency
FRQRX    19  f   S              !  Smallband  AK-90 or  AK-1024 or continuum with fixed frequency
