By an inspection of the railway on
January, 20,
2003 one noticed a little fracture in the western part of the
telescope railway (in the direction to the control room). This part
of the railway must not be traversed anymore by the wheels of the
telescope. It is a serious damage and in the comming weeks it will
be repaired. An exact date, when that will be finished, is not
yet available.
Therefore from now on it is only
possible to use a limited range in azimut for
observations.
For elevation there exist no limitation. The allowed range (southern
direction) in azimut is:
